Welcome to this Level 3 Course on Doping and Substance use in Sport. 

In this course you will gain a greater understanding of your anti-doping roles and responsibilities. You will learn how to use anti-doping tools to help stay clean in- and out-of-competition and understand the consequences associated with the use of performance enhancing substances. Learn how to be vigilant in identifying doping risks associated with the use of performance enhancing substances and critically appraise the need to use performance enhancing substances. You will also learn to recognise that you are solely responsible for your own decisions regarding substance use. 



This training course has been designed with the following key areas, there are six units for you to follow. 

We will look at what doping is and its history and how organisations can detect athletes that are doping.  We look at the health risks and associated social and financial risks of doping and the risks associated with sport supplements. as an athlete and then we will learn about depression, anxiety, addictions and disordered eating. We particularly look at the cross contamination of banned substances as well as the influence the placebo effect has how well substances improve performance.

Aims of the Course

The online assessment is taken on completion of the training material. You will be asked multiple choice questions with a pass mark of 70%. The answers are marked automatically so you will instantly know whether you have passed. You can take the test as many times as you need with no extra charge.
